On your arrival to Split Airport you will be greeted by your driver and taken to Split port to continue your journey to Brac island, town called Supetar and your hotel.
After breakfast you will start your walking trail from Supetar centre. Walking through narrow cobble streets you will leave Supetar and continue to nearby villages. This hiking trail is a voyage through a beautiful nature of the island, with a story about its gastronomic delicacies, life and culture. On the trail you can enjoy in 5 restaurants, taverns and agricultural households, 2 art galleries and family winery. You can also see hidden gems of island architecture and way of living, Donji Humac and Dračevica. All produces and culinary and wine products are locally produced, organic and homemade. On your trail you will taste olive oil, wine, cheese, traditional lamb dishes, experience long tradition of Brac stonemasonry and taste authentic Brac desserts. Free evening.
Today's attraction is famous Golden Horn beach in Bol. Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world Golden Horn beach is one of the most recognizable sights from Croatia. After breakfast you will take a short ride to Vidova Gora, highest point on Brac island from which you can enjoy amazing vistas of nearby islands of Hvar and Vis and look down on beautiful Golden Horn beach. Upon arrival to Bol you will visit Stina winery where wine tasting and light lunch will be organized. After wine tasting return to Supetar and ferry ride to Split will be organized. After settling in your hotel free afternoon and evening.
After breakfast you will meet your guide for private guided tour of Split centre. On your tour you will discover ancient centre of this remarkable second largest city in Croatia. Diocletian's Palace or Split centre is UNESCO protected world heritage site and offers unique perspective on ancient roman architecture. On your tour you will stop at palace basements, Jupiter's Temple, visit Saint Dominus Cathedral and much more. In the evening dinner will be organized in the old town in one of many restaurants that have sprung open in the recent years since Split gastronomic scene has exploded. Enjoy your dinner in amazing surrounding of this buzzing Mediterranean city! Return to hotel after dinner.
After breakfast you will continue to Trogir and Salona to reveal some of the Croatia’s historic treasures. First stop will be antique city of Salona, former capital of Roman province Dalmatia. About size, and richness of that antique city testify magnificent walls with towers and gates, forum with temples, theater, palace, amphitheater and unique monuments of Bishop’s palace and early Christian church with graves. After Salona, you will continue with your guide to the city of Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Trogir is the best-preserved Romanesque- Gothic complex not only in the Adriatic, but in all of Central Europe. Trogir’s medieval core, surrounded by walls, comprises a preserved castle and tower and a series of palaces from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods. Return to Split and free afternoon and evening.
Again, just 30min away from Split, behind the hills that separate coastal Dalmatia and its hinterland is where you will find town of Sinj. This ancient small town is most famous for its Alka tournament. The Alka Tournament of Sinj (Sinjska alka) is a traditional equestrian competition in which the knights (alkars) on horseback, in full gallop, holding a three meters long spear, try to spear the iron ring, alka, hanging. This tournament is held each year in August in honor of the miraculous battle which took place on August 14th 1715. between Ottoman invaders and Croats of Sinj. You will visit local Museum of Sinjska Alka and continue to a nearby horse ranch. There horseback riding and traditional lunch will be organized. For experienced riders there is an option of taking a 1-3hours riding tour of surroundings to Cetina river. Return to Split in early evening.
After breakfast you will take a short 30 min ride to nearby town of Omis and Cetina river canyon in the hills around it. Enjoying breathtaking views you will descend to Radmanove Mlinice, traditional restaurant with centuries old history. There you will have a Soparnik cooking class followed by your farewell lunch. Soparnik is a traditional dish, once regarded peasant food and now perfect example of using local, organic ingredients in Dalmatian cuisine. After lunch return to Split. Free late afternoon and evening.
