After you are well rested for the adventure ahead, it's time for welcome drink and snacks where you will meet your tour guide and find out everything you want to know concerning the itinerary.

Day 2 - Split Kaštela Split

zifandel 11 editedYour wine trails of the day will start with the early breakfast and heading up to Kaštela, home to Crljenjak, ancient but not forgotten wine sort. Its exceptional historical taste precedes only its importance because it is the father of widely known and appreciated sorts Zinfandel and Italian Primitivo. You will visit several vineyards and cellars to taste the soft differences of every single grape which arise due to the different preparation and other conditions. While enjoying your wine, you will be introduced to rich Dalmatian history of wine making and the specialties that lie in the mere process.

Day 3 - Split Hvar

After breakfast in Split, you will take a short catamaran ride enjoying the Adriatic blue crystal water and shortly arrive at Hvar – the sunniest island in the coast. This beautiful island is the home of region's icon – Plavac Mali, a cross between ancient Zinfandel, Crljenjak Kastelasnki whose taste you've enjoyed the previous day, and Dobričić grapes. This wine truly reflects the character of Dalmatia – hot, temperamental, gorgeous, sharp, slightly rustic and unique. Apart from Plavac Mali, you will have the chance to taste other exquisite wine sorts indigenous to Hvar island, Bogdanuša and Prč. Overnight stay on Hvar island.

Day 3 - Split Hvar

zinfandel 5 editedAfter waking up in the sunniest place in Croatia followed by a delicious breakfast, you will meet your tour leader and continue this wine adventure getting acquainted with Hvar ancient heritage and historical venues. Its unique fusion of Mediterranean climate, Roman and medieval architecture 'sizzled' with Venetian influence will make roaming around much more interesting. Hvar gained glory and power during the Middle Ages being an important port within the Venetian naval empire. And today, this island is recognized as one of the most popular and favorite resorts. Hvar exploration is set for the morning, and the afternoon will be at your leisure for an individual and private experience of this vibrant and colorful city. Afterward, you will return to Split by an evening ferry ride.

zinfandel 6 editedIn the morning we will pamper you with a private guided tour of the ancient Roman city of Split. 1,700-years-old Diocletian's palace will be your first stop, where you will learn more about the history of one of the best preserved Roman residences in the world. St. Duje's Cathedral, Jupiter's Temple, green market are only several places that you will visit during the tour. After you get a glimpse of Split's culture and history, we will finish the tour at Paradox, Dalmatia's finest wine and cheese bar, situated in the mere heart of Split Old Town. At the Wine and Cheese Bar Paradox, you will have the opportunity to choose some of the most exquisite wines from the very luxurious wine list, accompanied with some of the ripest and unique cheese blends Dalmatia has to offer. Day 6 - Split - Cooking Class

Located in the center of Split, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, cooking class starts by walking through Split's green and fish market. Popularly known as "pazar" green market is the informal center of the town. Rich sights and sounds intertwine with strong characters of produce sellers, locals doing their everyday shopping for lunch and bystanders observing this Mediterranean heart of the city. Same can be said of the fish market. Local fisherman brings catch of the day and early in the morning this vibrant and colorful exchange of words - banter starts and ends when you pick your fish. Your walk with Chef will include him teaching you his "insider" secrets on how to pick fresh seasonal ingredients and best fish of the day. Depending on market and offer of the day you will continue to prepare 3 course meals. Along with food selection of Croatian wine will be served. Free late afternoon and evening.

Day 7 - The Island of Brac

zinfandel 8 editedAnother day and another island in the Adriatic awaits your arrival to offer you its authentic wine sorts. The island of Brač, which is the biggest one in Dalmatia is situated just off the coast of Split, so your morning ferry ride won't be long. While walking through its vineyards, you will notice its similarity with Hvar, whose landscape is surely breathtaking. Rolling hills, pine and fig trees, isolated bays and clear water are not the only thing Brač is famous for. Wines of complex taste are also something this island can be proud of, and the most famous among them is the Bolski Plavac. After tasting Bolski Plavac, you will have lunch with a variety of local Dalmatian dishes, and of course, some of the best wines of the county. And, to round up everything, lunch will be served in some of the local taverns, so you have the chance to really experience Brac. You will be returning to Split in the evening.

Day 8 - Hills of Klis

Mountains and untouched nature are the things that attract lots of tourists on hillsides of this picturesque village just a few miles away from Split. The village celebrates the traditional architecture of Dalmatian Zagora as well as its way of life in the past centuries making it an excellent combination of bygone days and present time. In this ambient, a culinary workshop will be organized with your own personal chef. He will show you how to prepare some of the most delicious meals of traditional Dalmatian cuisine using only homemade ingredients.

Day 9 - NP Krka and Šibenik

You will travel with your luxury Mercedes vehicle to Skradin where you will relax at your own pace exploring the stunning Krka National Park and strolling among amazing waterfalls. After National Park you will visit a local vinery and have your own private wine tasting and stroll through the vineyard. With expert guidance of the winemaker learn about local wine varieties, some of the best in Croatia, and how Skradin area doe to its climate and terroir is ideal for wine production. Your next stop Šibenik was Croatia’s first major coastal and coronation city dating to 11th century, but also a city where the most important Croatian king Petar Krešimir 4th ruled for almost 20 years.
We will take you through this medieval town and show you its most important sightings including the most valuable cultural monument in town, Cathedral of St. James protected as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There after the tour we will organize lunch in one of the best restaurants in Croatia-Pellegrini, holder of Michelin star located right next to the cathedral. Arrival in Split in early evening.
